The case’s graceful curves are machined from 316L stainless steel, to a level usually reserved for precious metals. Balancing the hour window on the upper side of the dial is a finely brushed and bevelled plate set into the lower side of the dial bearing the Fears name.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOuter Dial – a distinct barleycorn pattern radiating from the centre of the dial that has been coated in pure silver, dazzling from bright white to silver depending on the light.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInner Dial – a rich plum matte lacquer that offers a bold yet sophisticated contrast.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs this is a ‘jump hour’ watch, there are no hour numerals on the dial. Instead, the hour is displayed via a window at 12 o’clock. The disc displaying these numerals is coated in a bright white lacquer before the hours are printed in glossy black ink in Fears’ bespoke ‘Edwin’ typeface, enhanced for display in a round window.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe hour window is surrounded by a hand-applied silver ring, coated in precious rhodium that has been machined with bevels before being finished by hand with brushed and polished surfaces. While similar to suede, it is far more hard-wearing and water-resistant.
