The shape of Brew

Brew’s Metric lineup distinguishes itself by including a range of compact, casual integrated chronographs that blend industrial styling with retro 1970s touches. Their striking appearance is largely due to the combination of a square-ish case, a tapered integrated bracelet, and the asymmetric bug-eye dial accented with contrasting colours (on select models). The Metric lineup also includes non-chronograph models, and for those who prefer a more classical design, the Metric Lite models offer a clean integrated design with a simple yet striking dial made of materials such as Tahitian Pearl or Tiger Eye.

Brew’s design process involves painstaking attention to detail. Each individual component is carefully engineered and crafted to create one-of-a-kind timepieces. All creations are thoroughly tested using extensive water pressure and impact resistant tests before being released into the wild. Brew’s current collections flaunt a strong vintage vibe, and the brand has earned recognition for its distinctive meca-quartz chronographs.

Timing the perfect shot

Dialling up the vintage charm is the Brew’s Retrograph with its cushion-shaped case featuring shrouded lugs that create a seamless, uninterrupted design. Boasting a bicompax layout, this chronograph has a design quirk involving the minute track. A reference to the extraction of an espresso shot, the minutes from 60 to 30 are split into three sections, while the minutes from 30 to 35 are split into six sections. Depending on the machine, it takes between 25 to 35 seconds to extract the perfect expresso shot, and with the Retrograph, a barista can easily time out the process when the chronograph is engaged.

Made to be worn

Most of Brew’s chronographs are powered by meca-quartz hybrid movements. Featuring a mechanical module for operating the chronograph and giving it a smooth sweeping movement, these calibres excel in precision thanks to their embedded quartz crystals. For its Metric Lite models, Brew has opted to incorporate automatic movements, which are a natural fit for this line of integrated sports watches. All Brew timepieces ship with a water resistance of 50m, ensuring you can wear them with confidence throughout your day.
