After delivering the Anoma A1 First Series in January 2025, Anoma introduce the

next chapter – the A1 Slate.

Anoma believe that true beauty whispers, it doesn’t shout. The goal of this watch was to create a design that is pure and understated, with a timeless elegance. In a world of endless colour variations, Anoma found it powerful to return to black – a colour that embodies both bold presence and ultimate discretion. Yet, with a unique take on it, with a design that is endlessly evolutive and plays with the light.

The dial is vertically brushed, with contrasting triangles individually engraved using a hand-guided precision tool. Finally, three layers of black lacquer are applied, creating a deep, nuanced dial that shifts between a smooth, glossy black and a sharp, two-tone contrast. It was designed for continual rediscovery, subtly unveiling its complexity over time.

The watch’s rounded triangular form is inspired by a free-form table designed by Charlotte Perriand in the 1950s. Anoma's fascination with this shape began a few years ago when they first encountered one of these tables in an antique gallery in Paris. The case design also draws upon the fluid movement found in Constantin Brâncuși’s modernist sculptures and the organic softness of river stones – creating a form that feels both striking and effortlessly natural.

The mirror-polished case bends and bounces light in unexpected ways, altering its

appearance based on different angles and lighting conditions. The leaf hands feature an exaggerated curve and dome to maximise volume, echoing the case’s contours.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Your item can be returned 30 days after purchase for any reason for a full refund. Return requests can be initiated through the self-serve form at the bottom of our Refunds and Exchanges page. Once your request is received, our team will contact you to arrange the return of your item. Returned items must be unused and in their original packaging. We reserve the right to refuse a return if the product(s) show signs of wear.

WARRANTY

Every Anoma watch comes with an international manufacturer’s warranty of two years.

Anoma's warranty covers all manufacturing defects occurring during normal use, as described in their warranty conditions. Anoma will replace free of charge any defective components due to a manufacturing error found by their workshop.

Please note Anoma's warranty is not applicable in the following cases:

- Theft, loss.
- Wear and tear and normal ageing of the watch (scratched glass, impact on the case...)
- All types of damage to the entire watch (or part of it) resulting from improper handling or use, lack of maintenance, negligence, accident (drop, scratch, crush, broken glass, etc.), improper use of the watch or failure to follow the instructions provided.
- All types of damage indirectly related or consequential to normal wear and tear of the watch, such as non-functioning, defects or inaccuracies of the watch.

This warranty is void if the watch has been damaged by accident, negligence of persons other than authorised Anoma sales or services agents, unauthorised service, or other factors not due to defects in materials or workmanship.

The warranty is void if the serial numbers or product date codes or other tracking marks have been removed, altered or obliterated.
