Beaubleu

While many watches on the market today adhere to familiar design patterns, Parisian independent maison Beaubleu chooses a different route. Established in 2017 by designer Nicolas Ducoudert, the brand was born out of a desire to move beyond traditional watchmaking conventions. Guided by a unique vision referred to as β€œthe art of the twist,” Beaubleu reimagines timekeeping through unconventional aesthetics, offering a refreshing and captivating new perspective on how we experience time.

Beaubleu

A new language of time

Most watches serve as straightforward instruments for measuring time, but Beaubleu transforms timekeeping into a symbolic experience. Their defining feature, a strikingly original reinterpretation of the hands, draws inspiration from Galileo’s breakthroughs in the understanding of our solar system. With hollow circular forms replacing traditional pointers, Beaubleu’s watches deliver a sophisticated and unconventional reading experience.

Why did Beaubleu choose circular hands to tell the time? For the brand, the circle represents the starting point of any conceptualisation of space. From astronomy to the proportions of classical painting, the circle stands as a defining, universal symbol. Transposed into watch design, it becomes a new way of expressing the concept of time. Designed and assembled in France, Beaubleu’s timepieces are also distinguished by high-quality finishing and a level of detail aligned with the codes of the luxury segment.

Beaubleu HIGHLIGHTS

Time without edges

As Beaubleu’s first permanent collection, the Ecce encapsulated the brand’s unique approach to timekeeping. Each model is housed in a 39mm stainless steel case, just under 10mm thick, with a well-defined bezel that alternates between mirror-polished surfaces and vertical brushed finishes. At the heart of the Ecce lies the captivating dial, featuring a prominent blue running seconds ring, alongside a smaller hours and minute circles, all anchored at the centre. Inside, the trusted Miyota 9015 movement guarantees precision while also supporting the discreet circular window at 6 o’clock.

Separate, yet still synchronous

With the Seconde Française collection, Beaubleu pays tribute to the art of French living and understated elegance. Here, the trio of concentric circles is reimagined, with the seconds circle now appearing to float freely above the dial, detached from the central part. Two interpretations bring this vision to life: one with a clean enamelled dial and printed details, the other featuring embossing. Beneath it lies the France Ébauche Calibre FE, a French movement offering 46-hours of autonomy.
