The C12 Loco lineup is Christopher Ward’s most ambitious project. Building on the success of the Bel Canto, these timepieces push things even further. At their heart lies the newly developed CW-003 movement, specifically created for this collection. With its open dial showcasing key mechanical elements, the Loco was designed to strike a perfect balance between visual harmony and high-impact design.
The Christopher ward C12 Loco dial is built around a series of key elements—at the top, a floating sapphire ring that hosts glowing indices which appear to hover above the dial. Below lies the beating heart of the watch: a free-sprung balance wheel oscillating at 28,800 vibrations for hour. Just below it, a compact escape wheel subtly performs its task. Anchoring the movement are robust bridges that vary in texture and finish, adding both structure and flair.
